I love our weekends. Having Stu home on the weekends has been SO nice*. We (read: "I") usually pack the weekends full of stuff. This one was no different. So, here's a simple recap:
After lunch, we partied in the pool. Well, the kids did with Stu. I opted to lounge poolside and edit for a client. (Sidenote: How could life get any better than working poolside?) Once the dog joined the party, I had to snap a few pictures. They were too cute.
Sunday was just as exciting...
We attended a great birthday party. It was a petting zoo. The Stus had an EXCELLENT time. One of the chickens was named Donald Trump. I found him to be adorable and appropriately monikered. Tina Turner was my personal favorite. She had a crazy awesome feathery plume on top of her head. But she was always on the move, and I could not get a clear photo of her.
Rea began to feel yucky at the end of the party. When we got home, she showered and fell asleep on the couch. If you have a 9 year old, you know an afternoon nap on the couch is NOT a good sign. She woke up rocking a temperature in the mid-102s. Bleh.
Looks like a great weekend is going to turn into a LONG week (or at least few days). Fingers crossed this goes away as fast as it showed up.
*Stu was apolice officer for many years. And we hardly saw him.
