Surviving the Break

This was a strange schedule. Rea's vacation started on the 17th of December (FLVS schedule). But Buddy was in school through Thursday of the following week. That means he went to school until two days before Christmas! Neither kid goes back to school until January 9. We have an entire week off after the New Year. 

My Facebook and Instagram feeds are full of Moms lamenting about how difficult it was to get their offspring up and out the door for school. That will definitely be me next week. Buddy has thoroughly enjoyed his break... he's taken to staying awake until 8:30-9:30 every night (I have always been a strict 7:30-bedtime-Mom), and he sleeps in until 8ish each morning. 

This week Mommy appreciates that. Next week, Mommy will not. 

Anyhoo... We have had a great break. 

The kids each ended up with about 5,000 Lego pieces from Christmas. Luckily, Mommy and Daddy LOVE to assemble Legos! (Truly, we do. But so do the StuMonsters.) 

However, after about 30 hours, 6 boxes and 3 blisters, I am ok to take a break. 

​They did get some cool ones though.

The rest of our break was spent hanging together, playing with toys, chilling with our extended family, and celebrating two birthdays.

We had a fabulous one! And we hope you did too. Now, it's time to get back into the swing of things.
