We got home late the other night. Church nights do that to us. Reagan rode home with Stu, and Riley was with me. All seemed well. Stu was in our room when I got home. Reagan was chatty and getting her jammies on. I sent Riley to do the same.
I walked into the master and was immediately greeted by a freaked out husband.
Stu looked like he'd seen a ghost.
He said "I NEED TO TALK TO YOU. We had the most insane ride home... Oh the crazy 15 year old hormones." I laughed. And then laughed more. He said "Seriously. I will be right here waiting. Go, put Riley to bed. I need to talk to you,"
Fast forward... everyone's in bed.

My family has recently taken up gardening. My youngest sister has been planting and growing things for several months now. My mom got into it when she found these adorable planters at the store.
Let me preface this by saying that I finished watching the series nearly one month ago. It was so overwhelming and heavy that it has taken me this long to formulate a coherent response. And perhaps this won't be terribly coherent.
I have not read the book. I most likely will. But, as of this publication, I have not. This post is in response to the show. The show, which is currently a Netflix smash hit, was recommended to me by a mom-friend. She told me this was a "difficult show to watch, but one every parent should see."
Legos have taken over the mall. And Legos are taking over Stucrewfun's Fun Photo Friday!
This week, for our Fun Photo Friday, the kids went to our local(ish) mall. The mall has been overrun by giant Lego displays. We LOVE Legos. This seemed like the perfect Stu activity.
I just read a good article from another blogger. I saw it on Pinterest, and her title image intrigued me.
You may or may not know, but I have battled with the blues for years. I have never been to a psychiatrist regularly... I did go a couple times in my early 20s, but I was so messed up (for other reasons) that I did not stay. I felt like "Bleh - I don't need this crap." Hindsight tells me I probably should have stuck with it. Maybe not that particular doc, but someone professional. |
