Thank you (again) to all of the men and women who gave their lives to protect our freedoms. We know freedom is not free. It comes at a steep cost. We do not take it for granted.
We packed SO much fun and crazy into one weekend. It was a bit insane. Anyway, let's jump right in and recap these crazy four days.
Friday Night
Reagan was going through withdrawal. She really needed her besties.
I can relate... I miss mine. But that's a whole other thing. So we invited her BFFs over for a sleepover. We took the girls to our (new) favorite pizza joint - Aunt Mary's.
After playing with makeup and making tons of videos, it was time for jammies, candy and a marathon of Disney shows.
Saturday
We can consider this our day of rest.
I was exhausted from the slumber party. The girls finally fell asleep around 11:30. And they were up at 6:30! We spent Saturday lounging around. I wasn't feeling well, so I was in bed most of the afternoon. Stu and Reagan watched the Lego Batman movie (it's amazing) and then Avatar. And Riley was content to play his new video game uninterrupted all afternoon. Sunday Funday
After church, we headed over to my mom's house. She was hosting a Memorial feast BBQ. And Steph & Zach were bringing their dogs.

It's always fun to hang with my fam. Everyone had a super amazing time in the pool. Since I am allergic to dogs, I have to sit this one out. And that makes me the resident photographer.
Bogey and Ziva always play tug-of-war for the frisbees. But this time, Bogey kept getting sidetracked by the click of the camera. His attention was split between beating Ziva and making sure I got his good side.
What's the point of a pool day if you don't chicken fight?
Memorial Monday
We spent most of the day running errands, laughing, whining, shopping, sweating. It was fun.
Before leaving the house, the kids put little flags in our front yard.
We had the most fun at Bass Pro Shop. I could have easily dropped a few hundred thousand in there - if I had a few hundred thousand.
What I really want is:
Isn't she beautiful?
We left Home Depot with a carload of stuff. We have had a major issue with love bugs recently. So we picked up some citronella plants and magnolias to deter the bugs. We also grabbed some pots to transplant our tiny plants.
Reliving all that in blog form was exhausting. I hope you enjoyed it. But more importantly, I hope you had a wonderful weekend with your loved ones. From the looks of my Instagram and Facebook feeds, everyone did.
