Halloweens of the Past, 2009-2011

Today we picked up the kids 2017 Halloween costumes. I know, we are "way early". Both kids knew what they wanted to be, so I figured we get that shopping out of the way. I don't want a repeat of the 2015 Halloween fiasco. And I wanted to get out of the house...
Both Stu monsters have assured me that they will NOT change their minds before October 31. And since we arrived home, they have been in total character. I will be waiting to reveal their costume choices (sorry).
As you well know, I am wildly obsessed with all things Halloween. My countdown has begun... I have started spooking the house, made lists for the Boo Bash, bought several new trinkets and decorations. For today's post, let's stroll down memory lane and check out the Stu monster costumes of the past:

Reagan and Aunt Steph were the most adorable Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. We rocked Mickey's Not So Scary for the first time. I was a super pregnant pirate. For more of our Disney Halloween, check these out: Halloween at Disney or Mickey's Not So Scary

Stu and I went to a grown up Halloween party too... I think we pulled the Mad Hatter and Alice off pretty well.

Halloween 2010

For Riley's first Halloween, we were once again at Disney.

Reagan was the most adorable Captain Hook. She, like her Mommy, has an affinity for villains. Riley was Tigger. Jackie was the Mad Hatter this year (she borrowed Stu's jacket). Steph was perfectly Belle. Stu and I were tacky tourists or something... not our best year.

2010 was another successful Halloween. Definitely one of my favorites. We knew what to expect from Mickey's Halloween Party, and we had a blast. The Boo to You Parade starring the Disney villains is my favorite part of the night. After the parade, we found a dance party with all the Toy Story characters (Reagan was obsessed with Bullseye at the time). She followed him around the dance floor.

Halloween 2011

2011 was the year Reagan started school. So she had a costume parade the day before Halloween. It was simply adorable. For her school parade, she dressed up as Michael Jackson (yes, MJ. All her idea). Super special shout out and thanks to Batman for loaning Reagan the amazing Michael Jackson jacket. It was perfect.

Want to guess where we celebrated Halloween in 2011?

If you said Disney, you are correct. Reagan was in a Harry Potter phase. (Her 3 year old years were interesting and awesome.) Anyway, this was the first year we tried to pull off a family-theme. Even my parents joined us. Sadly, Riley refused to wear his costume... he would have made the cutest Dobby.

Obviously (or I hope), Stu is Voldemort. Reagan was Harry Potter (NOT Hermoine). Riley should have been Dobby, but he flat out refused to wear the pillow case (and I didn't want to argue with a toddler). I was Bellatrix. My parents were dementors.

The family photo above makes me laugh... If it were not for the skeleton hands, it'd be impossible to see my father.
Jackie was an awesome Waldo. She took it upon herself to photobomb as many strangers pictures as possible.
Stephanie was Dr Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb.

Alrighty, that was a lot. Stay tuned for the rest and plenty of more Halloween goodies.
