Last time I told you about our eventful attempt to make it out of the driveway. And our eventual arrival to the cabins at Ft Wilderness. Today, I want to share our crazy Friday with you.
Friday was a bit more chaotic than it was planned to be. We had planned to spend the day at the Animal Kingdom. But in the morning, on our way to hop on a Disney bus, Genie and I decided to check on our friends' cabins.
Several other families would be arriving over the next 24 hours, and we wanted to make sure their cabins would be on our loop. We had all linked the reservations when we booked, so it should be a no-brainer, right? Wrong. This happens every time! I don't understand why Disney has not mastered "linking." I mean, come on, we all want to stay together.
Anyway, we discussed it with the manager. And we had 2 options:
Option 1: Stay where we were and our friends will be together at the other end of the loop - NOT next door to us.
Option 2: Move into a new loop. Our entire group would be clumped together. Perfect for the kiddos.
The only hesitation is how angry the hubbies are going to be when they hear that we have to move. Hmm... Almost on cue, the phone calls and text messages from the men begin. We give them the good news. Stu is less than pleased, verbally. Then he hung up on me. Good times.
So, we packed up. And Disney peeps came to move us a few loops over.
In the end, it was worth it. I think even Charlie and Stu would agree.
We spent the afternoon at the cabins, went to ride the ponies, played at the playground, and waited for the Tighes to arrive.

We are fortunate enough to live a short drive away from the Happiest Place on Earth! And we take full advantage of it!
