Happy Mother's Day to me... and all of the other Mommies out there.
This is one of my favorite days of the year. It's all about me. How could it not be my fave?
Stu planned ahead.
He ordered an Edible Arrangements package of chocolate covered strawberries. Yum! I swear, Edible Arrangements have the MOST DELICIOUS fruit ever! Rea's been asking for about a year to get one. I'm pretty impressed that my husband heard that, and then even more impressed that he remembered and acted on the information. I think Rea was a little more excited than I was when he brought them home on Friday. Sunday is not a breakfast in bed day... ever. We get up early and go to church each week. So, my special meal is Sunday lunch. Stu made reservations at one of my favorite local restaurants: Brio. The steak salad there is amazing. And I am a sucker for an incredible lobster bisque. Brio never disappoints. Apart from the food and company, I think the best part of lunch was the fact that both kids ate all of their food. And we had an entire meal with NO TECHNOLOGY! Yes, you read that correctly. Neither kid had an iPad, tablet or phone. Even Stu wasn't on his. And I only broke my phone out at the end to take some lunch-time selfies with the monsters. No one even asked for his/her technology. It was a dream come true. After lunch the kids gave me the gifts they made at school. I LOVE homemade keepsakes. They are adorable. Both kids wrote books. I am a very proud, very satisfied, very blessed Mommy. Thank you Stu and StuMonsters for the amazing day!
