This morning I was in the kitchen prepping my coffee and making chocolate milk for Buddy. He was in the bathroom. The other two were still snoozing.
Bud comes out and says "Oh Mom. You've GOT to come see this."

I've recently been consciously planning things for Rea and I to do alone. We went for mani/pedis one morning. We went on a trip to the bookstore another. Things like that. Sometimes it is really hard to give each kid the individual attention they seek.
She has been doing great in school. Her homework isn't an issue anymore. And her puff jar is filling quickly. So my parents asked if they could take her with them to Tennessee.
This past week was spring break, and like about a million other people, we decided to go to Disney for some of it.
Actually, this is a rookie mistake. We almost never go during this insane time. But, we've been going crazy at home. Running on ridiculous emotional stress. 2014 has not been the kindest of years thus far. I'm optimistic that we are on the up and up. Anyway, the point is: We needed a Disney break!
Two things to share. Both I found funny.
First, Rea came home from school with a spiral notebook in her backpack. I had never seen it before. Apparently they have them at school... not sure what the total point is or when they are allowed to draw/write in them. Anyway, I flipped through the book. Honestly I wanted to see how often I appear in it. Yeah, narcissistic, I know. Whatever. I own it. About halfway through I found this gem: ![]()
Wait, what?
In my last installment I shared with you Buddy;s thought on who's funny and who isn't. According to him, I am smart but not funny. My Mom apparently shares his point of view. She told me the other day that my HubPage articles are fine, but they "aren't funny like you usually are." Hmm. Not funny? Challenge accepted. This entry is about my Mom. |
