Stu said this was one of the best ones.
We woke up early and made a delicious cinnamon gooey breakfast thing for Daddy and Grandpa. And by "made" I mean, I bought it at Publix and put it in the microwave for 60 seconds. It's the thought, though, right? The point is that I provided breakfast for them, where normally they would have to fend for themselves.
Then the kids gave the Dads their homemade gifts. They were so proud of these things.
Grammie was at the hospital with Poppy. So we took Grandpa to church with us. Buddy was so happy to cuddle up with him during the service.
Zach came over to show off his new toy - a motorcycle. Naturally, we were excited for him. Then we put him to work. He had the distinct honor of blowing up the water slide. It took nearly an hour. Then he and Stu helped Grandpa out with the fence.
Of course, for his efforts, the kids let Uncle Zach test out the slide.
There is little I like more than a holiday! Something about the energy of the day makes me giddy.
