Our Christmas Eve was a bit low key this year. It seemed like we all had last minute errands to run in the morning. I hit up Publix for a few last minute things. Grammie and Bud took off to get something. Stu and Rea popped off to do their own stuff.
We do our Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve every year. If we do them earlier, we eat them all.
Yes, I go super easy. We just slice out Pilsbury dough circles. This year, our icing was Duncan Hines - cream cheese and milk chocolate. DELICIOUS!
We turned the Santa Tracker on around 6:30. At that time, it said Santa was in Argentina. According to the TV, he would be making it to us about 4 hours later. He was heading to Canada after Argentina. And after that, he'd be in New York.
Buddy was watching when Santa made it to our friends in the north. The countdown tracker changed to 3 hours. His eyes nearly popped out of his head. He jumped up and down. Then ran into the other room to get Rea. They both shouted goodnights and I love yous to everyone, then bolted upstairs.
It was the FASTEST they have ever showered and climbed into bed. I think Buddy was asleep in record time. Rea was not far behind.
It was amazing! Major parenting win!
Best. Night. Ever.
There is little I like more than a holiday! Something about the energy of the day makes me giddy.
