I have to say, this is my FAVORITE place to stay on Disney property. We stay at the cabins for all sorts of reasons.
1. They are adorable!
I mean seriously, look at how cute these things are!
Sure, they are just your basic trailer with a fun, log-wood facade. But still. They look adorably rustic from the outside! Each has its own little "driveway" - essentially, it is a parking spot. You can park one (we usually squeeze two) car here. AND there's an outlet to plug in your golf cart.
2. Space. Space. And more space.
The cabins comfortably sleep 6. And if you are traveling with a Pack-N-Play, it will fit wonderfully in-between the bed and bunks or you can actually stick it in the closet (not all the way, but it will fit in that space).
3. Outdoor Space
Sure, this could have been combined with the previous point, but I think this one is a stand alone. Yes, the inside has a good amount of space for big parties to stretch out. However, do not underestimate the importance of the outdoor space.
We have celebrated nearly every holiday at least once at Disney. And, with the exception of one Thanksgiving, they have all been at Ft Wilderness. One of our friends threw a birthday party for her daughter there, and about 6 friends' families came and stayed at the cabins then. It was quite a smash.
Because we stay at the cabins for more than one night, and we like to make the most of our trips there, we typically pull in like:
I am by no means finished. Next, I will give you the low down on food and amenities at Fort Wilderness.
Our Disney Sides
We are fortunate enough to live a short drive away from the Happiest Place on Earth! And we take full advantage of it!
