I do not know what I would do without my girlfriends.
For me, that's not a sentence I ever thought I'd write. I was the girl who only had male friends. Girls were too much drama to deal with. I really did not get along with many. Boys are far less maintenance.
That changed for me when I became a Mom. And I think more so when my daughter began school. I made friends with like-minded Mommies in her class and grade. Those Mommies have become my absolute best friends (besides the Hubs, but this is not about him).
The girls and I had lunch yesterday to celebrate a few things. And I just need to be cheesy and proclaim my love for these ladies. You guys have no idea how much I needed to laugh and talk. You remind me that I am not alone. You remind me that although the stress I am dealing with feels terminal, it's not unique to my home and we can get through it all.
So thank you.
On another note, we ate at this great little place in Juno. Cafe Sole. I had never been there before. It was AMAZING. And I will definitely be back.
The humus was, maybe, the best I have ever had. It was served with tomato chunks and warm pita wedges. For my meal, I had the Caesar Salad with grilled shrimp. Yum.
