Both of my sister's got married in 2014. One eloped. The other got hitched at Disney World.
Since I wasn't at the first one, I don't have any pics or stories to share. But I will say that I am happy for that sister and her wife. I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
It was my youngest sister's wedding in November at Walt Disney World. I am the oldest of three girls. Poor Dad (both emotionally and financially).
Steph's wedding was fun. The whole weekend was fantastic. I'm not sure how much of that fun was simply because of the location... I mean, not to take anything away from her nuptials, but it's Disney. Only dingleberries don't have a good time there.
Mom and Steph drove up together on Wednesday before the Big Day. Stu, me and the monsters left midday on Thursday. And most of the extended family was in town by Thursday night. As I mentioned in the Travels section, we stayed at the Grand Floridian. You can pop over here to check out that review.
Thursday night, most of my family (aunts, cousins and the like) met up at their hotel for dinner. They were staying at Port Orleans Riverside. If you haven't been there, it's a lovely hotel with a really great cafeteria. There are lots of food options to choose from and the prices (in Disney terms) aren't terrible. So, we munched. And hugged. And laughed. And were all around loud and silly.
