The only thing we had scheduled (as a group) at Lake Powell was a boat ride into Antelope Canyon.
The boat ride is offered through the Resort. Our Caravan tour scheduled the ride. I believe we were on the first ride of the day. It embarks a few times a day. I saw at least 3 more groups of people waiting for the boat throughout the day.
The tour runs about 90 minutes. It was really cool. I quite enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. Once on board, we were given headsets and recorders. They gave an audio history of some of the things we were seeing. You don't have to listen at all. But I highly recommend it. The audio guide does not speak the entire time... the actual boat captain interjects with information every now and again.
About 3/4 into it, the kids got really bored, very hot, and probably a bit sunburned. And mostly they were going through technology-withdrawal. So, Stu and I took turns hanging with them downstairs.
That does it for Antelope Canyon. It was beautiful. I loved being on the water. Anytime I can be on a boat is a good time. Next time we go to Lake Powell, I want to rent a boat and spend more time on the water and perhaps go up river and explore more canyons.
We love to travel. Although our roaming souls often come back to the same places.
